Dzmitry Vasilyeu graduated from one of Belarus' main universities not too long after his country declared its independence from Russia, and from what was left of the Soviet Union. He has a background in communications engineering, is self-taught in computer graphics, animation, videography, filmography and music, and has a strong interest in democracy, freedom and human rights. He is interested in the social improvement of his people. Dzmitry served as vice-president of the Belarusian Liberal Democratic Youth Union, and consequently ran as an opposition candidate for the Office of Deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Belarus - Belarus' elected Parliament.
Dimanasus Prophecy was first written as a screenplay, back in 2005. Vasilyeu's interest in human trafficking and subsequent writing of his screenplay, emerged from his struggle growing up in Belarus, where educated young people have very little opportunities for employment, and face the daunting effects of their country's isolation from the rest of the world. Innocence and dire need make them easy targets of traffickers, who trick them into traveling abroad for promised good careers in Europe and the United States, when in fact they're being led into modern slavery, where they're sold like animals for cheap forced labor or prostitution. Dimanasus Prophecy was registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2007, registration number PAu3-123-559. Vasilyeu and his colleague and friend Madison Reed, have worked since 2005 in their effort to produce his movie for worldwide distribution.
Madison Reed is an green entrepreneur, writer, real estate agent and social activist blogger for human rights and peoples' democracy struggles worldwide. Back in 2003, Reed's love for international travel, and his discussions with some of the most interesting people in the world, led him to Belarusian filmmaker Dzmitry Vasilyeu. Vasilyeu and Reed became good friends. The collaboration between the two led to the initiation of Vasilyeu's project to produce a movie from his screenplay.
Since 2005, Reed has served as an advisor to Vasilyeu, as well as his publicist. He's also the English language editor, and designs and maintains the Dimanasus Prophecy website.
